Drikung Dharmakirti International Sangha (DDIS) is a loosely-organized community of Dharma practitioners around the world who gather under Dorje Lopön Dr. Lye’s guidance to listen, reflect and cultivate the Buddhadharma as transmitted in the Drikung Kagyu Lineage. We gather weekly as well as on special occasions using the virtual platform of Zoom. Currently, we have members from across the USA, Mexico, Guatemala, Malaysia, Singapore, Ecuador, and Brazil.
While there are neither strict rules involved in becoming part of DDIS nor specified any financial commitments, Dr. Lye does ask that we are intentional about our participation. Thus, we should be able to fulfill the minimal commitment of attending every Sangha-meeting each week (on Wednesday evening in the Western Hemisphere and Thursday morning in Asia). Beyond this, Dr. Lye hopes that over time you will feel more and more moved to deepen your commitment to “jailbreak” samsara.
To formally join DDIS and participate in our weekly Sangha meetings and other special programs, please fill out the application form below. After we have received your application, we will send you an email from info@drikungdharmakirti.com (be on a lookout for this email as your mail-reader may inadvertently mark it as “spam”). This email will have the information for Zoom as well as how to access the protected area on this website where you can download practice-texts and participate in the discussion forum.
If you currently have a Buddhist teacher whom you have a formal and personal teacher-student relationship with, Dr. Lye requires that you have had a discussion with your teacher about your involvement with DDIS and has his/her blessings to do so. If for whatever reason this is not possible, please use the space for answering Question 5 to explain.
If you are already a part of the Drikung Dharmakirti Sangha, click here for the protected area.
