MAHAYANA LOJONG IN SEVEN POINTS

“Mahayana Lojong in Seven Points” is a profound set of instructions collected by the Tibetan master Geshe Chekawa in the early 12th century. The heart of Lojong is the training in Bodhicitta – the “awakened-mind” that embodies wisdom and compassion inseparably and perfectly.

“While seated meditation is valued–as in all Buddhist traditions–in the Lojong approach, the post-meditation, doing dishes, checking email, staying at home, negotiating a contract, chopping wood, filing for unemployment, all become a place for practice.” – Dr. Lye

A PDF copy designed for tablet use of the particular translation Dr. Lye is using can be downloaded here at Tibetan Spirit which is one source of support for Dr. Lye’s work.

Below are video and audio files for this entire series. You will notice that the audio files are shorter in length as they have been edited by a volunteer. Specifically, announcements, pauses, and breaks have been removed.

Finally, in the last section are audio files of twelve guided meditations on Lojong that have been extracted from this series so that you can use them for your personal practice.
